At Hogarth Chocolate Makers, we take pride in crafting exquisite chocolate from the finest SLAVE-FREE cacao beans sourced globally. Our small factory in Nelson is where the magic happens—we meticulously sort, roast, crush, winnow, grind, conche, age, melt, temper, mold, and wrap each batch by hand. By using minimal ingredients, we focus on highlighting the natural flavors of the cacao, resulting in a chocolate experience that celebrates its true essence, unlike mass-produced varieties. In collaboration with Ana Aceves of Sugarcube Studios, we've created a unique chocolate bar and packaging design that tells the story of Karl’s transformation from sailor to chocolate maker, capturing the journey of cacao to our shores.
